Funding Criteria

In evaluating organizations and their proposed projects, there are a number of important factors that we look out for, including that:

  • women are involved in leadership roles;
  • people living with HIV and AIDS (PLWHA) are represented in the organization's management, including the Board;
  • the community served is involved in planning and/or implementing projects;
  • the organization's governance measures are solidly in place;
  • the organization is able to manage the funds they have requested;
  • the proposed project is viable;
  • there is a solid management structure;
  • beneficiaries do not face discrimination (including gender, religion, serostatus, etc.)
